Football season has ended and basketball begins this week with wrestling, too. Please watch the website for the schedule of games and matches. Freshmen will only pom at home events and those will be split with the cheer squad. Varsity will be split into two teams to cover away basketball games. All squad members will pom at home basketball and wrestling events. Once again these home events will be split with cheer.
I am so proud of our seven girls who competed last Saturday in Sapulpa at State Solo Competition. They all danced beautifully although none qualified for finals. It was good experience for each of them and will benefit them for future competitions.
OSDTDA State Team competition, December 10th, is quickly approaching and both squads are working hard on their routines. Extra practices for both squads have been scheduled for Monday, Nov. 21st, from 2-4 P.M.; Tuesday, Nov. 22nd, from 10-noon; and Sunday, Nov. 27th, from 6-8 P.M in the high school gym. These practices are mandatory. Please notify me of schedule conflicts as soon as possible. It is possible and probable that more practices may be added as well. As soon as those are set, I will notify you. As the date of competition approaches, realize that it is imperative all girls are dancing. Those that have been out with injuries need to have a doctor’s clearance for practice by Nov. 21st in order to remain on the state team.
The next booster meeting has been scheduled for this Thursday, Nov. 17th, in Alumni Hall at 6:30 P.M. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Ann Schlotthauer.
